As a victim of dating abuse, this is a cause close to my heart. Domestic Violence is a very real and dangerous problem, and this bill is a step towards the action needed to quell the epidemic.

I support anything that can help a victim or the children. My daughter was a victim and murdered by her husband b/c of domestic violence. Her husband was ordered to go see a psychiatrist and for counseling. He never went and the courts, judge, or lawyers never followed up on this to see if it was followed through. I don't have much respect or confidence in the court system. Anti-domestic violence should be taught in schools from a young age as they do anti-bullying. Please pass Monica's law.

I am a one of the lucky ones to have survived abuse after being strangled. My abuser is now serving to years in prison. This should never happen to anyone.
