As Moms, we oppose efforts to further expand government control over the U.S. health care and insurance system. Specifically, we oppose the Affordable Health Choices Act. This bill will eventually lead to government-run, socialized health care that will impose massive taxes and a loss of liberty on American families. Like most Americans, we prefer receiving our health care coverage through private insurance rather than the federal government. Government healthcare has always resulted in higher costs and rationing. We do not want politicians and government bureaucrats dictating the health care and insurance decisions of ourselves and our families. In these difficult economic times, we sternly oppose any new government health care plan that will impose new taxes or burdens on individuals, families or businesses.
