I just got a notice about this, probably because of my view fence. This is so intolerant. SO WHAT if people can see my lights, I need to light my backyard in the evening. Are we living in a day of age where our neighbors can't even tolerate a little bit of soft string lighting??? The next thing you know we won't even be allowed to go outside and speak in soft voices. This is ridiculous and intolerant and I'm not going to let them bully me around.

The City of Phoenix plans to replace ALL street lights with bright LED lighting. Did they get HOA approval?

The HOA here is why we are moving. I see nothing wrong with what my own next door neighbor is doing.

This board should be ashamed that the approved their own lights, but fine others. The selective fining is discriminatory.

I agree that tasteful, bistro lighting should be allowed in all backyards, view fence or not.

The change makes sense as they appear to be used for outdoor entertaining which is one of the things that make Arizona living great!

We would like to have the beauty of our cord lights returned to our back view fence. We just saw an APS local TV commercial last evening showing a beautiful home with beautiful cord light outdoor decorations here in PHX. We were told here that there is a city ordinance against these lights. So why would APS run this ad?

String lights should be allowed in our backyards as long as they are not a stated annoyance by our neighbors.

I agree, hopefully we can convince 3 of the current board members to do so!
