How did you resolve the situation at Mangoplah 'cos we seem to be banging heads against a brick wall. I did get a reply from Telstra when I sent letter and info etc to the Chairman, but once it got to area command it seems to be the same old answer - we have no plans for upgrade in your area at present !!!!

All local residence are members of the RFS, due to our isolation we are the first responders to all critical incidences with in this area, without reliable mobile service our effectiveness is greatly hindered. We are located on network roads, access for travellers from central NSW going to the snow fields in winter and tourist activities in summer for country attactions- Dams, bushwalking. We are a destination for travellers with our river front beachs and camping ground areas. We are also under the main flight path from Sydney- Canberra to and from Wagga Wagga. We would be the first responders in a critical incident in an air disaster. As a major farming community any on farm incidents will rely on reliable mobile phone service for assistance. In an emergency time delay in attending critical incidence can mean the difference between a good or bad outcome. This lack of service has been an ongoing problem for many years and needs to be addressed ASAP.

We had a similar problem in Mangoplah but that has now been resolved with a new tower.

This is rediculous for 214 when Telephone companies cannt carry out an important service in this rural area so close to a rather large city sugh as Wagga

mobile phone coverage is a safety issue... and clearly one that is overdue for resolution.

I can't believe in this day and age we still have to petition for basic necessities...and for 9 years!
I fully support the Wantabadgery Parish in NSW...
The internet is essetial and residents are entitled to have the same that city people have.
Mobile phone coverage needed for emergencies if required
mobile reception around Wantabadgery is non existant
