Mixed-use development for the site of Jacquemin Farms

I strongly oppose the 300 units rental apartments.

I greatly oppose the development of this area. It is not needed and I only see it as a way to fatten the pockets of those who don't live there, or drive on Hyland Croy Road. I moved to Hyland Croy because it was beautiful. I am within 5 minutes of all the shops I need, the greatest schools etc. Please tell me, if you had a choice of moving you and your family to an any area, which would they prefer? a)Moving to a home where you open your back door to 300 apartments, or b) Deer grazing on your freshly cut grass and seeing the joy on your kids faces. How many people in a town can say they can do that, c) Move to a home where you have to sit in traffic just to pull into your driveway, or d) roll down your window and gaze at farm fields and breath in fresh air as you have no issues pulling into or out of your driveway? There is already a housing development that will be taking the place of Autumn Rose Farm, and all these apartments, senior living etc is needed? Looks like a clear choice to me. Look somewhere else.

I oppose the new development

I oppose the new development and rezoning of Jacquemin Farms for all the reasons listed in the petition. In addition, the rental units will create a transient population that has very little ties to the community. The developers are spreading false claims that the addition of 300 apartments would only add 30 students to the school district. These same developers are jeopardizing the one commodity that draws families to this community (our schools) and high standard of community living.

We moved to Dublin for quality of life, and this project as well as many others jeopardizes this....

We need a building moratorium in Dublin. We do not have the infrastructure for this development. In addition, look at Sawmill Road. We do not need a large group of renters in this area of town. Renters can go to Sawmill Road and get in the Dublin Schools if they want. Having lived in Tartan West for the past 9 years, I have experienced a time with little to no traffic on Hyland Croy, to heavy, fast, 45 mph traffic heading south from Jerome Village. It will negatively impact the values of all the homes in this area. No Renters!!

Jerome is currently one of the best high schools in the nation and need to be kept that way. I moved here because of the high school. My children have all graduated but I've come to love Dublin. Plenty of green space, great neighbors, clean and safe. With so many new housing developments already in progress, why do we need more? I do not think the school will be able to support the influx of new students. This means adding a new high school which means higher taxes. Current residents who love Dublin should not be forced out of their homes because of exorbitant property taxes.

I am following the comments posted on this site and find genuine concern and some very good questions. What I don't see is these same 'concerns and questions' being proposed to the only people who can realistically address/affect real action/response! In case you folks aren't aware, the current 'Dublin schools tax-base' for Jacquemin Farms property is $3252.00 per year. Though this figure is commensurate for the current use of the property, it pales in comparison of the potential 'school tax' that would be levied from the proposed development! Though that is

I have studied the Dublin planning for the Hyland-Croy Road corridor and compared it to the proposed Jacquemin plan and see very little difference. It appears that very few of the Dublin residents are aware that Dublin plans to widen Hyland-Croy Rd. to four lanes and connect it with St Rt-42. When I see what Dublin has already done on Rt-161 near the Hyland-Croy and 161 intersection, approving a very unsightly warehouse operation, it calls into question Dublin's judgment!

I oppose the plan to develop.

There is already enough new developments approved in this area that are not even occupied at this time. Not to mention senior facilities that sit empty. This is taken land that attracted the residents here for existing projects. New developments are not needed. They only make a developer richer.

Please don't let this happen. It will also take away from the beauty of living where we do.

Against to have more apartment building inDublin

Against the developer's proposal due to concerns of building density, over crowding school and overloading traffic.

I fully support the concern of such development taxing the existing children in the district. kindly consider the petition.

Too much density! Need buffer landscaping and quality building materials!

I live in the Park Place community and I am concerned with the congestion and the tax levy that me be coming again to expand the school district to accommodate children whose parents will not even be paying taxes in Dublin schools. There are many families in Dublin who are not super wealthy and are just trying to get our children through school in a great school system. But the cost of living is getting extremely high and most of it is because of the tax base. We're losing many good families with values because the cost of living is to high. Not to mention the congestion because the population is grown so much in our area but the infastructure is having a hard time keeping up, especially roads and electricity we still have wires on the pole on Hyland -Croy that gets knocked out often during bad storms. We can't support communities using services from our hard earned tax dollars for free. It's just not honest or fair.
