Mine went at 39000. This is a problem that us caused because the pump isn't properly sealed and corrosion builds inside. That's the companie's fault not evo owners.

I've been in automotives for 12+ years. Currently an assistant service manager/warranty admin for another brand, and any other brand with this kind of issue would have been sorted generations ago. This fault has plagued the evolutions for countless generations. It is unacceptable for a major manufacturer to allow this to continue. If the pump cannot handle cold temperatures and is susceptible to debris and water/ice and snow then it should be relocated and the fluid needs to be changed to another viscosity that can handle cold temps. Not just Canada but what about USA and Europe. We expect more from a company that boasts the best warranty in the biz.

Mainly the reason why I want to sell. An Evo X is not a properly built winter vehicle

A Evo/RA worst nightmare, rate as best winter vehicles however we all dread the day the pump goes...needs to be recalled/covered under 5yr power train warranty, need new fluid/relocation kit and a shield/enclosure to protect against debris.

Just tired of seeing all the great people posting they have had an ayc failure. Something must be done!!!

Should be recalled or at least covered under the 5 year warranty as it is part of the drivetrain. They should not expect the small buyers to pay 2-3 grand over their pump that cant handle our weathers.

Why should we pay for your mistake, this should be covered under warranty but $4000.00 to pay for repairs that's crazy.

Worst possible location and fluid choice, fix your mistake
