There is a lot of good work being done by the St. Louis film community. I think people in other parts of the country would come to Missouri to do films and it would be good for the Missouri economy if there were incentives for more film makers to film in Missouri.

Film incentives are a necessary part of film production. Properly administered incentives for arts are historically savvy investments for promoting tourism and, in a short turn, a strong revenue driver for many industries.

When my staff meets to see where we will produce our next project, we look to the states with the most incentives and/or reasons to shoot there. As a Missouri native, I am voted down because other states lure away the productions due to their tax incentives and production-friendly commissions. Help us help you, Missouri! dc

Born in Missouri I have been a filmmaker / Special effects artist professionally since 1987 & have seen film community support come and go. It is sad that Missouri will not recognize that this is legitimate employment for Missourians & we need the support of the state to help us make a living! Thank you.
