The undersigned would like to see Betty Jean Waite named the Grand Marshal of this year's Azalea Festival. Miss Waite spent her entire teaching career helping middle school students learn and appreciate Math. Her tenure at Azalea Middle School included classes from the 1960s through the 1980s. During those years, she touched many lives with her love of math and her love of life. She has also been an avid Bruin fan throughout the decades. Please join us in honoring this very special lady who still lives in the Brookings area, still shares her love of sports and still supports the Bruins!
