A miscarriage IS a bereavement however you look at it. I am strongly of the belief that longer should be given in the form of paid leave to recover from this sort of experience as a right - not a discretion.

I have had 4 miscarriages all of which were at different stages and all under 20 weeks. I was lucky with my employer giving me all the time I needed paid. However, I know some people are not that lucky.

I am signing because it is a horrendous ordeal to go throughand you shouldn't have to worry about time off.! And two days as a bare minimum I think should be compulsory.

I had to deliver my little boy at 17 weeks due to an infection that would have killed me if I didn't. I had to quit my job due to stress afterwards
