Attempting to bring another life into this world is quite a daunting experience especially in the beginning due to fear of losing that child that is growing inside of you. It is devastating enough without having to worry about your financial situation. At least 5 days pay should be compulsory for an employer to give to an employee who has had to suffer this loss. If two is enforced then so be it, something is better than nothing

I hope this comes to something as a woman who suffered 5 miscarriages with a very unsupportive employer it would be great to see a change in the law to support women in this awful situation.

I am very fortunate to have never suffered the physical or awful emotional termoil this type of loss brings. However young in weeks, a much longed for life has been cut short. It takes time for the body and mind to heal and must be treated with more empathy. No woman should have to feel the need to rush back to work for fear of loosing pay. Xx

Definitely should be a change in the law to allow pay after suffering a loss like this.
