I lost my beautiful boy at 23 weeks just 1 week off the 24 deadline where they would help him . If going through something so bad isn't enough the last thing you're thinking about is payments to this an that.... until u get reminders in red and the grief mixed with the panic sets off anxiety attacks.

I'm so sorry for your loss - What a horrible experience you had!! It's not right that there is no entitlement to leave and it needs to change!!

My son died at 18 weeks gestation. I had to give birth to him, there was no way around this. He was a perfect child - tiny, but a baby with finger nails and formed beautifully in every way. I had to go back to work after a a month off. My body still suffered the after effects of birth - milk coming in for a baby who wasn't there, physical pain, emotional devastation. And I had no choice but to work because I wouldn't have got paid. I have PTSD as a result of the trauma and anxiety. I had no time to get where I needed to be and no time to grieve in a healthy way. More must be done and recognised.
Two days paid leave is just the beginning.

Suffering through a miscarriage is unbelievable hard physically and emotionally. Women who suffer from the death of their child should get well over 2 days. Therefore, I sign to acknowledge that agree the request that all women be given at least 2 days to begin to recover physically, attend all appointments, and try to cope with the sudden loss.

If you get SSP after 4 days of normal sickness how on earth do ladies not get SSP after loosing a love of their life, someone they never met but knew so well and someone who lived within them all of their life!

Having suffered the trauma of miscarriage, both physically & emotionally, I know what a strain it is. You need time to recover and being forced to go back to work within days makes it harder to deal with. Allow women time off and paid leave

Absolutely employees should receive pay when recovering from such a distressing event. They should not feel forced back to work before they are ready physically or emotionally because they cannot afford not to.
