These kids work so hard and look forward to special Olympics all year. If no other athletic events have been canceled, I'm sure many in the community would be willing to donate and raise money for the athletic event, Special Olympics for these truly special, amazing kids.

This is very disappointing to anyone who has a child in their family who looks forward to this every year :( my cousin Austin was in a car wreck and can not play sports, but he was so proud and enjoyed himself at the Special Olympics. This is a shame!! I hope whoever cancelled this has a good reason!!

I am a firmer volunteer. The kids loved this. Dont take it away from them because of snow days.

These children deserve their special day to be active and participate like the rest. If you've ever seen the smiles at one of these events you couldn't deny them this one day

I have many students who look forward to this event and I would hate for them not to have the opportunity to compete.

It's sad that they would take this away from our kids they look forward to this and really enjoy it shame on the boe

This not only saddens me but upsets me very badly. These children are a blessing to everyone and they look forward to this every year and by denying them this is the same as looking at a star football player and saying "we are canceling football this season". This is the only place these children can express who they really are without feeling they are being treated different. By taking this away from them you are crippling them.

I think this is very sad to take this away from these children!!! We are allowed to miss school for basketball tournaments and things like that. This is a special time for these kids and Im very disappointed that it would be taken away from them!!!!!
