Mingo County Special Education Department cancels Special Olympics

If this was a football game, it would not be cancelled. These children should be put above everything, not put last.

Taking this even away from these children is a shame! They look so forward to it & I'm 99% positive if it was any other sporting event it absolutely wouldn't be canceled!

I think this event should go on as planned. I remember volunteering when I was in Middle school and HIgh School to help out and they all had a blast with it and they deserve it!

I have a very good friend who has a child with Autism. She looks forward to this event every year. Other children have events just about year around but this is the only event our special needs children have . I think it is a decrease to take this special event from them.

That's what a lot of the special kids look forward to and should not be taken from them they can not help the weather
