this is not right..these Kids look forward to this every year..is the BATA trip or any other trip going to be canceled due to weather?

Let the kids have Special Olympics, personally my son absolutely loves doing it every year and we love watching him get so excited and have fun.

This is terrible news. Please try to reinstate the Special Olympics. They should be some way of counting it as an instruction day if they would do a math class just prior to it and then letting the kids have hands on experience of doing the special olympics and relating it to the math. I hope this gets changed.

the childern of Mingo County needs the Special Olympics, these kids dont need to be treated no different than the other half of the kids they attend school with. By having the special olympics it gives these childern their time to shine in the spot light just like the other kids that play sports! They never cancelled any other sports due to the weather so why single out the kids that attend Special Olympics

Why would the BOE want to do this? These kids look forward to this and taking it away from them is horrible!!

I absolutely think this is horrible! You can't punish the children for Mother Nature! Gluey deserve to have this just as much as anyone else!

That's horrible they would try to take this from these kids...I'm sure they look forward to this every year...if this was basketball or cheering I'm sure it wouldn't get canceled

This is ridiculous. Cancel one of the numerous events for the non special needs kids. This is the ONE event most of these kids get every year.

Why pick on the special kids... if you are coming to cancel this you need to cancel all school activites... But I guess you won't cancel the sports.
