Corstorphine has been the subject of creeping decline with good businesses being replaced with charity shops and businesses offering cheep products.
Corstorphine used to be the equal of Bruntsfield and Stockbridge for quality but has fallen behind these and other shopping and amenity districts around Edinburgh. Mimi's could provide the start of a regenerated main street and capture existing residents leaving the area and act as a magnet to niche shopper coming into the area.
