Such a popular baker would bring lots of customers to the area, and also brighten it up with such a lively establishment.

Having been a regular user of Mimi's Bakehouse in Leith, I know the proposed venture in Corstorphine will bring benefit to the area. the cheesecake cafe closed recently so this venture would fill that void. So much better to have a locally owned business than a corporate such as Starbucks or Costa.

Can't believe anyone could object to a local business expanding into the Corstorphine area. Many local residents are delighted at the prospect of our own mimis . If anything, it will complement the area and bring more trade to the other food establishments in the area. May even encourage other types of retailer too. Thanks to Tesco, Corstorphine lost a lot of its identity and am surprised at the councils reluctance to allow Mimi to open up here.

Council should be encouraging footfall growth in the centre of Corstorphine, not hindering it!

I have no idea why they would refuse permission for a bakehouse. There are a few in the area yes,but none on the same level as mimi's.

It's a shocking that shop like Mimi has been stopped the area is shouting out for something like this for years! just proved the Edinburgh council don't have a clue what they are doing

I am sure Mimi's will only bring good things to Corstorphine- there is no doubt at all in my mind that they would be an asset to the community. I truly cannot think why there should be any hesitance to have them here!

We should be encouraging local business instead of more and more Charity shops
