I live in the area and find it unbelievable that the council could even contemplate disallowing something which virtually everybody sees as a positive development. I attended the meeting with council representatives at Corstorphine Library a couple of years ago in which they stated that they wanted the town centre to catch up with other areas such as Bruntsfield which have a thriving cafe culture. Corstorphine may be some way from that, but it can only achieve it if the council drops its dogmatism and adopts a more flexible and creative apprpoach to the problem. Giving Mimi's whatever official stamp of approval it needs would be a step in the right direction.

As a resident of Corstorphine I would highly recommend that this permission is granted as I think it would be an excellent and well used addition to the area that is ending up with more and more empty units and losing it's appeal as a place to wander around and frequent.

If councils say no to everything, they end up with nothing. Mimi's would be an asset.

totally confused as to why this is not a retail outlet. This is so stupid and irrational

This is exactly the type of business cord torching needs as it will draw more people & encourage them to shop locally. I can't understand why permission would be refused.

Fully support Mimi's Bakehouse to open in Corstorphine. It's an established, successful and most importantly local family business. This should be encouraged. Many high streets are dying a death and Corstorphine is no different. The popularity of this business could markedly increase footfall into the high street on all days of the week and encourage retail units which have been closing to move into the area.

Minus would be an asset to the area. I live in Corstorphine Bank Drive directly opposite and would love Mimis as oppossed to another charity shop or even worse an abandoned shop for years.

I would like to support a local Edinburgh business expanding within the city. It would also be great to have a well known top end name to attract large numbers of people to the shopping district. Too many pubs here, not enough cafes.

I live in the Murrayfield area and would love to see this Bakery open up - although I'm sure it wont have a positive effect on my bank account :)
