Disgusted that my old hometown still allows this barbaric so called ‘sport’ to go ahead in its town park. It saddened me as a child and still does now as an adult. The hares still die from trauma during and after the event even with the greyhounds muzzled. How can anyone take pleasure in seeing these beautiful sentient creatures suffer.

No need for this, in this day and age, it's not "sport" and no need to close off a public park, use one of the farm fields of those involved

This is a disgrace in 2021 that such an activity as hare coursing still takes place. Add to that the closure of a public amenity which in these times are needed more than ever for the mental and physical health of a local community. A country wide ban on hare coursing is well and truly overdue!

The savagery that is coursing should not be facilitated by Millstreet Town Park.

A disgrace, not only for the welfare of our citizens but for that of this protected wild animal species also.

The notion of closing the town park for even one day to facilitate coursing is absolutely absurd, never mind for 4 weeks in a pandemic is insane. Shame on the coursing club!

The park should be available to all. Disgraceful to block access to the community for an entire month, especially for coursing of all things.
