Coursing is wrong on so many levels, setting 2 greyhounds on a hare which is a protected species here in Ireland & closing a public town park is wrong too which in these times is needed for the mental and physical health of a local community.

How is this called a public park, if it is closed to the public.
How is this called a public park, if it is closed for the private use for Hare coursing since the 1960s.

How can it be correct to close a park in a community in order to allow atrocities to take place? You town is now synonymous with cruelty and backwardness. Get a grip people of Millstreet.

Has Cork Council gone raving mad to allow an already barbaric 'pastime' to take place in a much used and enjoyed public park. Hare coursing must be banned.

Abhorrent in this day and age that a public park is closed to the public so that a protected wild animal can be chased and terrified in a barbaric practice - all for the pleasure of a tiny minority !!!
This barbaric so called sport should be banned.
