How long is MPHS going to punish their honor roll student & peers, the punishment was already served. This seems to be a ridiculous plan for school spirit

Mphs shouldn't be a place that students hate. Students shouldn't have to go through their high school career learning that authoritative figures do nothing but unfairly punish us. As mphs admin you should all serve as an inspiration to students. Lead a good example. Don't be the one reason students are held back from things during their high school career

Please stop taking the easy way out and lets work on finding ways to address issues that do not punish innocent children. Parents and students are willing to help, please let them. The dismissive behavior of our administration is embarrassing to our school district.

as the parent of a senior this year... I am soon disappointed you have taken this away from the rest of the students who work hard to do well in school. This class didn't even get to go to Washington!!

Please consider the students who always make the right decisions. They are being punished by your actions!

It's ridiculous to punish and entire school for some of it's students.

This is horrible to take the pep rally away from all of the kids. If someone dies something there take prom from them. Punishing an entire class for someone else's behavior is wrong.

As a former Miller Place student, I have positive memories of my high school experience as a whole, and pep rally was always something I looked forward to. I was always very involved with the activities of spirit week. I loved decorating the hallways each year, and pep rally was always a fun way to end the week and get all the students excited for the homecoming game. Many of these comments show students' negative feelings about high school, while pep rally was always a time for us to be proud of our school and our student athletes. My hope is that my sister, and many Miller Place students in the years to come, will have the same opportunity to have an enjoyable high school experience. At the time of year when many students are stressed because of SATs, college applications, and selecting a college and potential major, one fun afternoon has the possibility to do more good than harm. Providing a pep rally that is safe and supervised by both security and faculty seems like a better alternative than taking away what is meant to be a fun way to start the school year, and typically only lasts about an hour.
