Miguel Meza is one of my students who is being deported to Mexico. I am working with him to help file an appeal for this decision. Unfortunately, I was only made aware of this decision on Friday and we only have until tomorrow at 2:00pm to send the appeal. Miguel was brought to Chicago when he was 2 years old with his parents. He is 20 now and has not returned to Mexico since and does not know anyone there. His entire family, two parents and three younger siblings, are here in Chicago. I am asking that you sign this petition to include in his appeal to keep him here. Miguel is a well behaved, smart, sweet student. To give some insight on how his peers feel about him; I am making a yearbook for our school this year and he was voted "Sweetest" in the superlatives section. Forcing Miguel to leave his only home to go to a country where he will truly feel like an alien, will be a step back on all the progress he has made in his life.
