Apart from the obvious influx of even more traffic in an already heavily congested area. The levels of toxicity contained beneath the land has not been sufficiently investigated and reported upon. This is a matter that should be fully discussed and disclosed to existing residents. After all they are the 'sitting ducks' to any calamity that may befall future development on this heavily polluted land.

The traffic in the area is already dreadful. This will lead to more pollution in the area. The services in the area can not cope with more houses. The schools are bursting at the seams with those already living in the area. The doctors surgeries are already offering appointments nearly a month in advance. It’s a ludicrous proposal that hasn’t been properly thought through.

This area cannot take another reported 300 to 400 vehicles; Access routes suggest that the traffic cutting through North Park Road to avoid Stockport Road will impact greatly on this residential street which is currently used as a rat run and is impacted greatly by the Neville Road School between 0845hrs and 0915hrs when we cannot even park outside our own home. Also existing car users cutting through from Bramhall Park Road via North Park Road to Midland Road to cut out Stockport Road do not respect the 20 miles per hour speed limit. We have seen so many near misses outside of our home. This is a family street which has become a busy street thanks to the volume of cars and the extension of the Neville Road School. The area is becoming blighted by the impact of such hair brain schemes as this. This is all in addition to the arguments raised by others in relation to the quality of the contaminated soil etc. I will be sending a full written objection shortly.

Who would want to buy a house on contaminated land? No one knows the health risks which may be caused by such use. It is an irresponsible money grabbing scheme. We also have no room for even more cars or for school and healthcare pressures

This is about the 10th time in over 50 years that we have had to fight this and its time it was made into a country park. land not suitable for families to live on.

The volume of traffic trying to get onto Bramhall Lane is already at crisis point add another 400 cars would make it unbearable. The excavation of the land will cause an adverse effect on the environment and we already have a problem with rats coming from the tip.

The existing road infrastructure is already saturated and completely unable to cope with the additional traffic, the land is unsuitable for development due to chemicals and asbestos

I strongly object to these proposals due to the Health and Safety implications for local residents.
I am also concerned about the roads surrounding Midland Rd as they are already extremely busy and would become so much worse if these proposals went ahead. Not to mention the strain this would put on our already full schools, doctors & dental surgeries.

For many sound environmental, health, pollution and traffic congestion reasons this project has already been refused several times. As a resident bordering the site I am not a NIMBY. In fact I am very much for progress but when the risks are so great and the only beneficial party is Persimmon homes then it should be closed as an option now and forever.

Back in 1972, my geography teacher held up this parcel of land as being amongst the most dangerous areas in the UK. People never walked their dogs over it and even teenagers stayed clear such was the infamy of the area. It is essential that at least 50' of the soil is removed before considering any refilling and settling before the houses are built. Removing such a large quantity of soil and pollutants through a residential area will cause problems and the houses on Midland Road will need to be demolished due to the vibrations of very large lorries leaving the site at snails pace but returning at the speed conditions permit as empty, it's much like a ball and chain.
