Middle Hill runs directly alongside the boundary of Northumberland National Park, alongside the bridleway of the Border Country Ride, is within 1km of the Grade II listed monument of Winter's Gibbet, will be a blot on the landscape from numerous vantage points (Billsmoor Park - A68 cycleway) and will totally dominate the skyline of Elsdon Village - in other words, it is simply an inappropriate industrial development in a unique and beautiful area.

I can't believe how stupid politicians are - they must know how costly and inefficient these things are. What else can they do to push Britain under the sea!!

I'd just like to point out that I don't live in Elsdon or in the vicinity.
I Live in Newcastle and frequently travel up to the area,often with my young son, to enjoy the peace, quiet and beautiful scenery. Some things are far more valuable left as they are.

This proposal, if allowed, will damage and dominate the skyline for many years to come. There will be ways of supplying the UK with affordable energy for the future, but industrial millsites in the countryside will not be part of that. This is another attempt by speculators to get rich quick at the expense of the environment and the tax payer.

The proposal is ridiculously outrageous, I live at High Green and the turbines will be ominously visible everywhere. This natural area should be preserved as it is at all costs, do not ruin the National Park.
