Acquiring and developing Sonar as a Microsoft product would be a perfect answer to Apple's Logic DAW. This also comes at a time when Apple's choices in hardware development are alienating pros who make their living in music and media production. You could also add integration with OneDrive or new Azure services to provide a wider user base for Office 365 and allow collaboration between creative people.

I've been using Cakewalk recording products on Windows computers since Pro Audio 5. Sad to see this day come... :'(

I Love Cakewalk, just like many others who use it. I've been with Cakewalk since the 90's using Pro Audio 9.3; now using SONAR Platinum. Microsoft please save this product line and allow the Cakewalk family to merge with Microsoft. Supporters of Cakewalk products are all waiting to jump on board. Glenn B.

Keep Sonar Alive.

Been with MS since DOS3.0. Made good money using Access (from v1.0) for SOHO app dev. Have Office subscription. Want to see the EXCELLENT Sonar DAW continue (10+ yrs a user). Would subscribe.

Purchasing Cakewalk would make Microsoft #1 in the Windows DAW space and keep thousands of users from migrating to Apple for either Ligic or Pro Tools.
