Dear Microsoft, please keep Sonar alive!
Sonar is one of the best DAW I've ever used. It would be very sad if this product dies out.

We've been using Cakewalks Sonar for year in my studio and would love to see the best recording software in my opinion(used several others including Pro-Tools) continue to move forward. We(PC, Microsoft & Sonar users) feel that Microsoft would be the perfect home for sonar.

I'm a long time Cakewalk Sonar User, and Lifetime (?) subscription member. Sonar is one of the best DAW's on the market. It's worthy of saving.

Cakewalk has built up a large loyal users base over the last 30 years. They were on top of their game when Gibson shut them down. Please consider picking them up from Gibson. Thanks!

MS - take a close look; this is an excellent, forward-looking, and strategic BUSINESS decision. You will have an instant and ferociously loyal customer base for a MS-only product with a 30-year history; with an acquisition now - I'm sure the price is right - and a tiny marketing push - MS will have it's foot in the door of a PERMANENT market of musicians and producers who love to spend money; and the mere announcement of an MS acquisition of Sonar would absolutely explode on the scene, shaking the foundation of music production. The prospect of offering seamless Windows integration (think Apple/Logic) and support would garner thousands more users and, again, put MS in the position to enter the audio production arena. And if MS pays any attention to the audio software market, it knows that having a presence - and expanding it over time - would be one of MS's smartest business decisions. Best of all, the cake is baked! Plug, play, and get paid!

From Guitar Track Pro to Sonar Platinum:I agree with all comments re: Microsoft acquisition. Craig Andertons' frequent articles especially in Electronic Musician is a significant marketing tool
,as I cannot remember any presence of Microsoft in print media. Backed by a stable Corporation, this product could have significant market penetration
