This page increase is a long time overdue and so very much deserved. We work exceptionally hard and deserve a raise. It is unfair that no raise has been given in our profession for over 35 years while other states are being paid fairly. We give up precious time with our loved ones because we have deadlines to meet and we work seven days a week and we work hard to maintain the integrity of the court record. So much is expected of us, yet we are paid peanuts compared to others working in our profession that lives in other states. Please show us that what we do is appreciated. Thank you.

I've been a court recorder since 1984 and haven't had a page increase since 1986. If it's not raised no one will want to do this extremely tedious job.

It is high time that Michigan's transcript page rate be raised to a just rate in line with all other states. It is hard to fathom why this rate has remained unchanged for 35 years.

The State of Michigan needs to increase the page cost of transcripts. There is a lot of hard work and time that goes into the transcript preparation for our prosecutors, attorneys, and private individuals. The recorders take special care to ensure that these transcripts are prepared in a timely fashion. Being the lowest paid state, quite frankly, makes us feel unappreciated. We take pride in our work and would appreciate a more appropriate compensation .
