These hard working, consciensious professionalsare long overdue to be paid what they are worth. Is it because this field is predominantly female that it’s been 35 years with NO increase in page rate? Remedy this now.

We stand in hopes of true understanding regarding the hard work that goes forth in the accurate production of our transcripts and honoring the dire and past due need of an increase in the page rate.

The current transcript rate has not increased in over 30 years, whereas the minimum wage has increased at least $11.00 an hour. Why are we as federal/state/county employees and small business owners so grossly underpaid? Please support this petition!

Please increase the page rate. This increase is way overdue. We have a tremendous amount of equipment and software that we maintain annually to keep up-to-date with technology in order to provide the judicial community an optimum verbatim record.

Please pass this legislation to ensure our wages stay in line with the services we provide. Court Reporters make the most accurate record there is. And after all, without a true verbatim record, you have nothing.

Thirty-five years is a long time to go without a raise. I would be surprised if any other profession had to wait this long.
Please support this bill for us hard-working, dedicated professionals who work nights and weekends without compensation to complete our transcripts. Thank you!

Absolutely irresponsible not to support this vital mission for maintaining the integrity of our judicial record!
