Testing interventions have had such odious effects that those who profit from them have had to resort to distorted attacks upon those who accurately point out the,failures. Dr.Michelle Fine, a recognized scholar known for her dedication and integrity, as well as for work to improve education in low income communities, is being attacked for this work. This is an outrage and affront to the purposes of education.

Prof. Michelle Fine is just about the most distinguished and important researcher and innovator in her field. I am appalled at what is happening to her. I would come to Montclair (from Boston) to stand in solidarity with her and with her colleagues and students.

If we all take the position Michelle did and continues to do we would be in a similar situation...we would be under assault. Including Michelle many of our educational colleagues are also feeling the ire of corporate America. Our educational systems put many of them in the positions they occupy and now they want to control it.
