Dr. Fine is a respected advocate for students, teachers and schools. These attacks aree vilee.

I worked directly with Prof. Fine during the 1990s in a Pew Foundation funded effort to improve student success in Philadelphia high schools. She is the most intelligent, insightful, principled and diligent person I ever met. She worked tirelessly and passionately to insure the best education for our students.

In solidarity with Michelle. I respect and admire her commitment to research that leads to action, and criticism. This should be supported, not attacked.

I heard Prof. Fine speak in the UK , was impressed to say the least by her commitment, and compassion and her intelligent approach to education and am horrified at the treatment she has received. Currently in New York as a tourist and find this very depressing!

La labor de la educación para evidenciar y superar sobre las condiciones de desigualdad, discriminación y exclusión es invaluable y necesario en cualquier nación. Alto al acoso a los educadores que defienden una educación comprometida con su gente.

It's outrageous that private interests not only seek to destroy public education, but also to destroy anyone who stands in their way.

This is freedom of information misused for profit, and to the detriment of those most in need. Shame on the perpetrators.

Fine is a respected investigator. Community research and advocacy like hers are legitimate activities that make crucial contributions to public discourse. FOIA requests should not be used to intimidate researchers or stifle their activities through the distribution of selectively quoted personal communications.

I support anyone who is asking questions about educational policy and encouraging critical thinking on assessment. To do otherwise would only encourage short sighted actions and poor management of educational resources (instruction time and funding).

I am a concerned grandparent/citizen who sees this situation both as critical in itself & as representative of what is going on in this country: i.e., increasingly visible signs that people are shrugging & complying with whatever the powers that be initiate, no matter how ill-advised. Thank goodness there are still voices such as Dr. Fine's being raised.

I support Michelle for working to improve education and speaking out for social justice. The personal attacks on her are appalling.
