That CUNY would even submit to such a request is problematic at best. That a well-respected scholar and researcher would be targeted simply because of opposition to an educational regime that has already created a generation of students who don't even have the basic skills to succeed because the focus is on high-stakes testing rather than educating our populace is criminal.

Michelle Fine has dedicated herself to putting kids forst and insisting on authentic and appropriate education. Too much time is wasted in preparing for and taking these tests which are based on standards that are often age-inappropriate. The lack of instructional time for students is a tragedy. We must do better for our kids!

Thank you, Dr. Michelle Fine, for speaking up and raising awareness of how our country's education 'reforms' are truly affecting our children. I support you in your efforts and your courage to speak out, and pray those who slander and defame will soon be held accountable.

I am outraged by the attacks in print and in video on Michelle fine. This is a seriously misguided and even dangerous attempt to isolate a community leader whose important work is an inspiration.
