We need to discuss openly the corporatization & privatization of Public Education. Those of us who say the emperor wears no clothes need to be protected not persecuted.

I have the deepest respect for Michelle's scholarship and am alarmed by this attack on her. As an educator, mother, and citizen I stand with Michelle in her call to stop the k-12 testing regime.

Dr. Michelle Fine has been a critical voice of educational and racial justice that has galvanized many of us who exist the margins of society to take up the challenge to addres discrimination in education and to take anti-oppressive approach in our own pedagogical work. An attack on her is an attack to scholarship that critically reflects on education. We need people like her to question such that we can better assure education is equitable to all.

A shocking indictment of 'democracy' under neo-liberal corporate propaganda. The day we should weep. Knowledge is power and that is why they want to change the way it is used to shape our young people. Horrifying.

Michelle's integrity and passion are without question; not so much the vitriolic and destructive profit motivated slanderers

Dr Michelle Fine understands how to "see" truly "see" behind the noise, understands how to uncover the structures that reproduce privilege.

I strongly protest this harassment of a scholar who has well informed criticisms of the new K-12 testing regime and whose scholarship is passionately committed to social justice and equality of educational access.

This letter refers to "corporate reformers." What they really want to do is make all education a private source of profits. NO!
