PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. NFL star Michael Vick was indicted by a federal grand jury Tuesday on charges of sponsoring a dogfighting operation so grisly the losers either died in the pit or sometimes were electrocuted, drowned, hanged or shot. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback and three others were charged with competitive dogfighting, procuring and training pit bulls for fighting and conducting the enterprise across state lines. The operation was named âBad Newz Kennels,â according to the indictment, and the dogs were housed, trained and fought at a property owned by Vick in Surry County, Va. Here are some examples of the pain and torture these animals have endured: 1.About eight young dogs were put to death at the Surry County home after they were found not ready to fight in April 2007, the indictment said. They were killed âby hanging, drowning and/or slamming at least one dogâs body to the ground.â 2. In March 2003, after a pit bull from Bad Newz Kennels lost in a fight, it said Peace consulted with Vick about the losing dogâs condition, then executed it by wetting it with water and electrocuting it. Local authorities have been investigating the allegations since the April 25 drug raid at the property Vick owned. On June 7, officials with the Department of Agriculture executed their own search warrant and found the remains of seven dogs. This is a horrifying, and cruel act. Dogs are put in a ring to tear each other to shreds, and most die slow, painful deaths.

I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and the absolute cruelty of what happened at that property still makes me feel sick every single time I think about it. People are finally waking up to the reality of these horrific acts and it gives me a weird kind of hope that maybe we can actually force a change in how the league handles this nightmare.

BAN HIM NOW. sick of hearing about his 'second chance' when those dogs never got a first chance at a decent life.

My heart breaks for those poor babies. He deserves way worse than losing his job.

Never should have been allowed back. Absolutely disgusting behavior and he clearly has no remorse. Get him out of the league.
