This petition is designed to help the world recognize someone who is perhaps one of the greatest athletes to ever live. The aim being to have the USA Olympian Michael Phelps have his individual medal count recognized on official medal counts. The mission of those signing this petition is to create a world where people without access to articles about athletes of prominence, will be able to recognize individuals accomplishments, simply by receiving the simplest of information about the Olympics.
