A dog park is and can be an important facet of our community. It would certainly enhance the enjoyment of our village for many residents and would also contribute to the beautification of Miami Shores Village.
My hope and suggestion would be for the Village to purchase the property where the Miami Shores Motel is located and to redevelop this land into a community dog park. In fact, I would endorse a non ad-valorum tax for all village residents so that the Village could raise the funds to acquire the property and, in turn, redevelop the land into a community friendly dog park!
