My wife and I have lived in The Shores for almost six years and it's a bit absurd how far we have to go to find a dog park. I applaud my 171 neighbors that have signed this petition before me. Although I don't own a dog, I have visited a beautiful, well-maintained dog park in Miami Beach with a friend and her dog. It was relaxing, and enjoyable, watching the dogs frolic and meeting a variety of people, some of whom had become good friends with my friend at the dog park. A dog park creates a way for people to meet casually and make new friends and connections. It would add even more value to living in Miami Shores. I would go just to watch the dogs.

There are so many dog households in the Shores that it would be really nice. Also one or two more poop drop off stations would be nice perhaps at the other end of the business district (96th or 95th Sts.).
