As educators you should know that for these children familiarity is the key to success. If you move them then the chances of them succeeding has been diminished. Leave them at Maize High Schools

Frankly I am shocked that the very people who are supposed to be "experts" on kiddos with special needs do not understand the deleterious effects of moving these kids to a completely different building. It has been my experience that parents know best about how such things will impact their kids.

Parents should be given the right to object or concur with these changes and not just have these changes dumped on them.

To remove children from the care of teachers and staff that have been taking care of them for years is like taking a child from its parents and handing them off to a stranger. It completely disrupts the childrens lives and hinders their learning ability by ripping their safety away from them.

This is about the children being in a structured, stable, familiar environment in order to continue to progress in their skills, including maintaining friendships.

Looks like someone needs to investigate how this will impact these precious children. Sometimes change is only for some not for the good.

As both a parent of an FAA student and a former Para for the coop I know first hand the ramifications of moving students. It's difficult enough to try and fit in and make friends without the weight of starting over looming over head. Leave programs alone! If you really care about putting the needs of the students first, think hard about their social struggles.

As a former 13 yr student I am ashamed that the school district is not thinking about the children the serve. DISGRACEFUL!

The world already creates enough challenges for these kids. MHS is their safe place with trusted staff and peers who encourage and love them. Provide the least restrictive environment for these kids, as you're LEGALLY REQUIRED to do, Co-op, and leave these kids where they BELONG.

It doesn't seem right that they haven't been given the same opportunity as the other students to be able to stay at their current school.

I'll always suppirt this school in any way possible. I had a tough high school career and I always had an administrator to go to no matter what. Personal or not. To me, this shouldn't be a question. Don't tear students from their school that they've grown to love. It's wrong. GIVE THEM A CHOICE.
