If my school did this, many girls would feel uncomfortable coming to school and be unhappy there. That does not create a happy learning environment. Yes, some make up can be over the top as girls should be reminded they should be relatively modest as they are representing the school but banning make up completely is dangling girl'a insecurities in front of them throughout the school day when they should be focusing on their subjects.

nah no way I think that girls shouldnt be allowed to wear makeup in school as it makes 3s and 4s look like solid 7s and 8s.

I have been pressure for so many years to look and act a certain way. It's horrible to remind myself how excited I am to leave, no student should feel like that.

some students are singled out with wearing makeup. out of the 1500 students in the school, i guarantee at least half of the students wear makeup yet in after school detentions there are like 7 people? also the humanities team are having a competition to see who can hand out the most uniform slips
I really do agree with this petition but make sure teachers know about it. I am part of the Student Leadership Team and we will be having a meeting shortly so I can always bring this up. Good Luck!

Punishment regulation and the allowance of make up is important to ensure no student feels inferior to another over issues which they aren't.

It's not beauty school. Going to school is not about wearing makeup or the social scene, it's about learning and education. Wearing makeup was originally intended to attract men and that should not be a concern during school hours. It may make you feel confident but you shouldn't need makeup to fuel your self-esteem. Makeup masks true beauty.

It's awful that students are forced to remove their makeup and unroll their skirts because this just makes us feel more self conscious and more distracted from learning. Also there are some teachers who don't set a very good example for these rules...

The school is pushing these too far, giving out uniform slips for the smallest things. If these minors things are not bad. If the school are saying these are bad it must be because we are showing to much skin. That is sexualising our bodys! Including the fact that we are 11-16 (years 7-11(not including six form as that's a whole different case)) they are sexualising children and young children! The majority being under age!
I know a girl(who I will not mention her name for privacy reasons) she got slipped for the tip of her skirt being rolled up. It wasn't actually rolled up! The top had been tucked over by accident! She was a year seven when that happened!
