Good luck to you! We had an investigation at our school because a student wrote "Tomorrow will be a "dapper" day" referring to "Tuxedo Day" a PARENT called the cops! Seriously? An adult doesn't know what "dapper" means? Pure ignorane!

People really need to watch when the ease drop in other peoples conversations that they know what they are talking about instead a running their mouth and only getting half the truth

John is a good kid, he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Jon is a great kid and he does not deserve to be punished for some thing he did not even do that was reported by "hear-say" from another student whom had nothing to do with the conversation. Just because two kids are discussing an issue that is happening in schools around the world and they use the words "shoot up the school", does not mean they were talking about themselves doing it. He was in fact saying how STUPID it is for kids to do and say things like this on social media. So any kid that does not like another student can just make up some story about what they heard the other student say in the hallway, run down and tell the principal and they believe that student, while the other one gets in trouble whether they actually did or said what they are being accused of!! Get the facts straight and consider ALL sources before making assumptions and ruining a child's life!!

Truely amazing how words are now being used to hurt people. There is no reason for this kid to be taken out of school for talking about a situation being done in facebook. Facebook is poison and starting to create havoc to our society for all ages.

Please investigate an incident before taking the word of one person. Nowadays you can get anyone in trouble just by saying they said something! This is out of control!

Good kid, don't deserve this.

I understand that threats should be taken seriously especially in todays reality however, this was not in any way a threat against the school. I have second hand information from my step son, whom I trust very much. The person who was "telling on" Jon did take the statement out of context (and was over hearing a conversation that she wasn't a part of) and she has repeatedly turned him and another student in for "smart" sarcastic-ish comments. They are almost bullied by her repeatedly telling on them for conversations they are having privately.(honestly they are usually being funny but not against others and not in any sort of bullying way). In this case Jon was not being threatening towards our school at all and if the person telling had actually been a part of the whole conversation she would know that. He even said as much immediately following the statement/conversation in question but she didnt mention that when she was telling. As I understand it the teacher present didnt even react with the same hysteria as the girl who "turned" Jon in. An OUNCE of common sense would get this punishment reduced signifigantly. The statement was totally taken out of context. Who isn't talking about this issue? Its all anyone can talk about. Anyone who knows Jon knows he is a loving kid who would do anything for someone if they needed him. He is super sweet, funny, and great kid. He's not some evil mastermind. He would never do what he is accused of (or punished for) and anyone who had any common sense would understand that. Even the legal system said so! People keep talking and talking about prevention of future school shootings and people are getting taken down who do not deserve it. Is this the Spanish inquisition or the Salem witch trials? Wow! Freedom of Speech is under attack in America as well as many of our Constitutional Rights. This is what happens when Liberalism controls Academics. You get over reaction and very little Common Sense.

Maybe the administration should have investigated and asked everyone involved before actions were taken. Why only 1 student got suspended?

I think the school has made their point with zero tolerance, They don't need to do so in such extreme measures! Please let this young man resume his life and let him finish his school year! Enough is enough already.

A kind gentle kid. We as a community should help this good young man. Tell his story. And have the other students learn from this. Maybe bring this type of thing to an end.
