COMPLETED/CLOSED--Reasons Why the OCA Synod Requested Metropolitan Jonah's Resignation

The petition's objectives have been met. Therefore we thank the OCA Synod for finally providing an explanation for requesting Metropolitan Jonah's resignation. We make no comments one way or the other regarding the allegations in the Synod's letter of July 16, 2012.
ORIGINAL PETITION--"The recent resignation of Metropolitan Jonah has troubled many parishioners and clergy in the OCA. This is the third forced "retirement" of a Metropolitan in 10 years. Before we OCA Faithful can continue to support the OCA, financially or otherwise, we respectfully ask:
1. Metropolitan Jonah allow the OCA Synod to openly discuss his resignation, and
2. The OCA Synod provide a full accounting of those specific reasons why the Bishops unanimously requested Metropolitan Jonah's resignation.
Until number 2 is met, we will not financially support the OCA.
Each petition signer may optionally: turn our backs in silent protest when the collection basket is passed around; provide direct monetary gifts to our priest and his family, but not our parish; and take up a monthly collection and send it directly to the Metropolitan at 3523 Edmunds St., Washington DC, 20007."

Just want peace in our parishes again. Tired of the drama at the top.
About time. We deserve to know how our money is being handled.
Finally some transparency. It shouldnt have taken this long to get a straight answer but glad the truth is out.
Too little too late. The trust is gone.

So much damage done to our church over these last few years. Just hope we can move forward now.
