Very disappointed to hear this has been stopped. Watford is served by London Underground and we are within the M25, this extension has to happen!

Many disabled people travel to Watford Workshop by public transport, the Met Line extension would open up Northwood and more southerly Met stations to the catchment area of this charity which employs disabled people.

Cancelling the Met Line extension is short sighted as it will impact adversely on the economy in the area affecting jobs and growth. The cancellation is unnecessary as the extra £38m has been found from Government. So TFL will not be out of pocket. In view of this there is an onus on the Major to explain why he has cancelled the project. So far as I am aware he has not yet done this,

I live in Nothwood and it can take 30 minutes in crawling traffic to travel to Watford 3 miles away. We, including my teenage children, have no quick public transport to use and we're looking forward to the Metropolitan line extension. This decision not to go ahead with this condemns us to this bad traffic situation and I would like this to be reversed.

So much for an integrated transport policy. The ability to get to Watford Junction Main Line from the Met underground line has so many advantages.

It seems unbelievable that the Met Line extension won't go ahead despite full funding being in place. Road congestion is already critical in Watford and with additional housing development set to make things worse the Met Line extension would have eased this problem. Improved transport in and out of London is clearly beneficial to both Watford and London.

Give the current and new comers of Watford better opportunities to work, live and thrive in and around London. With Watfords improved affordability of good housing and travel costs to and from work the benefits to the people who really need it will be immense! Choosing Watford to develop their travel links and therefore improve is the best option. The people are perfect examples of forward thinking, respectful, hard working individuals, whom are very family oriented and the majority well educated because of our outstanding selection of schools ; all happily living in a welcoming multi cultural society. Don’t let us down. Give the Watford people and new comers the opportunity to travel more easily and prosper in and around London.

Dear Richard, I m appalled at Mr Khans decision not to go ahead, against the will of the people, with the Met. Line Extension. Please can you tell me the meaning of 'a guided bus route'. As Mr Khan is fighting to remove polluting vehicles off our roads, it seems strange that he should prefer to have more of the heaviest polluters of all rather than the Met Line Extension!!
