Watford needs this extension, everything seems to be in place to achieve it. Why is the London Mayor being so small minded and petty.

Such an unreasonable decision from Mr Khan would suggest that he has an alternative agenda unrelated to transport. His offer of buses confirms his lack of knowledge concerning the positive effect it would have to the redevelopment of the hospital, the premier football ground and the extensive new building programme in the town centre. Watford, being one of the most popular towns in outer London for relocation deserves better.

This is a very bad decision based on labour no longer having a strong hold in Watford. I am sure if we did Mayor Khan would agree this project. A lot of young people including my children, relatives and friends children work in London but cannot afford to live and rent there. This extension is for commuters and thus the economy not a political football for Mayor Khan. Watford is a thriving town and needs this link. The access to our hospital would be greatly improved for local people. The people of Watford also contribute financially to London boroughs and contributed to the Olympic infrastructure we deserve something back for our future generations and local economy.

A promise is a contract not to be broken. With all the building and development of Watford this rail link is imperative. A must have!

Sadiq you are missing the bigger picture with this narrow thinking - thought you would be an advocate of overlooking boundaries in our country.

Hugely disappointed - and misled - by this turnaround decision. Is Mr Khan's justification for reneging on the agreement satisfactory? What would it take to reverse it? Every effort is needed to rescue that area of Watford, where considerable investment has been made on the assumption that this extension would be built.

MetLine extension has been under discussion for over 40 years- please get on with it! All the money spent on the preparatory works should not be wasted.

Ken Livingston stopped bakerloo service to Watford . A bus service from Harrow to Watford was also cut. Now another labour mayor has scuppered the extension to the met line!

We need a proper infrastructure in Watford, not just South East London and Central London which Sadiq Khan isonly backing. Shame in you.

Can't believe Sadiq is not delivering. What has a guided bus route got to do with it!

With over £60m already spent on this very long term project, to scrap it now is very short sighted.
