Transport within Watford, both road and rail, has been neglected for well over 50 years - despite the vast increase in population and traffic. London seems preferred for transport developments and I think that Mr Khan is ignoring the extra integration that the project would provide.

I have been looking forward to this line for a very long time, which will open up quick and easy public transport to Watford Hospital, Pinner, etc. from north of Watford (and vies-a-versa). I do NOT WANT a guided bus-way and would rather the scheme is again mothballed and the land safeguarded until common sense prevails.

I travel regularly between Croxley Green and Watford, so was looking forward to the new line. Far quicker than the bus and probably more green as well.

This is bad news for Watford

This scheme is essential for the future of Watford.

Mr Khan's promises are, as usual, empty. Mr Harrington would appear to be a rare politician, working hard for his constituents and keeping his promises.

This extension is essential for future prosperity and growth of Watford, possibly one of the most successful and growing towns closest to London. It should not be side lines for other projects. Why did the Mayor waste so much money on a Bridge that wasn’t to be? Do it sooner rather than later otherwise it’ll cost even more in 5-10 years time.

Sadiq Khan now has all he asked for to deliver the Met line extension so what's stopping him honouring the original promise. This is a valuable rail link across congested Watford linking the Met line to Watford junction main-line station via the hospital and football ground.

If it went ahead it would take traffic off the local roads, and would be eco friendly

The Met Line extension is vital to the prosperity of Watford and it would make our town a major transport hub on the network. You have the requested funding, please reconsider your decision to abandon it.

Been really looking forward to seeing the met line in Watford and would be a great loss not to have that

I think that Sadiq Khan is playing politics. As a Labour mayor he is almost bound to reject a scheme put together by a Tory run county council, for a town with a Tory MP, where the town is run by a Lib Dem mayor and council. It is a pity that politics is allowed to stand in the way of a desperately needed public transport scheme in a location where traffic congestion goes from bad to worse.

If we have the money, what is the problem? Linking the Metropolitan line with Watford Junction is a great idea.

Where will all this money go that was already secured? I believe a community centre has been built on the site where platforms would be.

With so much money already spent of feasibility studies and the like, not to follow through with this is an unacceptable waste of taxpayers money.

This extra link is important as Watford grows and will greatly help with transport into London.

This would be beneficial to the local businesses and community, it would make access to hospital services easier for those who dont drive and would reduce the use of cars for accessing venues such as watford fc on match days. Its a win win for everyone including government services
