I'm in the city limits but my daughter goes to GCA because of the lack of safety in your schools.

We have 3 kids in Buford City Schools, yes for more protection!!!!!

. About six months ago, my husband proposed a weapons detection system to the school board. It would have only cost $20,000, but they rejected it, claiming it was too intimidating and not in the budget. Meanwhile, we have not one, but two fully decked out football fields and another brand new high school football field under construction, not to mention a high school building that cost $18 million. It's absurd that they prioritize football fields over the safety and security of students. It's time to prioritize the safety of our children and implement the necessary measures, no excuses.

My granddaughters are students at Buford. I would love peace of mind for safety for all the students. Let’s do this in remembrance of the lives lost at Apalachee High School.

Let us protect our children. Make our security as much of a spectacle as our facilities that are built and other programs that are prioritized.
