I love this option! There are many families and children in our neighborhood (Laro St. & Kinney st.). A sidewalk to downtown would help both traffic and pedestrians. I often have to drive over the yellow line to avoid walkers and bicyclists.

I live off Meriden rd and it would be amazing to feel safe enough to walk to town or bike with less worry!

An increasing number of walkers, runners, and cyclists all compete with vehicles to use the Meriden Rd. In the 30+ years we’ve lived on LaPlante vehicular traffic has increased exponentially; larger vehicles and increasing speeds are a reality on the road. A sidewalk extension out to Daisy Hill or LaPlante Rd. makes a great deal of sense for the safety of everyone.

I live off of 120, a safe sidewalk would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Yes , please! Have been running from LaPlante Road into the Green for over 30 years. Traffic and speed have increased noticeably over that period. Sidewalks might encourage more people to travel by foot into town.

This road's pedestrian traffic has increased so much over the last twenty years. A sidewalk will provide so many people the opportunity to access town in a healthy safe way.

I’ve lived on the road for over five years now and each year the pedestrian traffic continues to grow. Many people walk, run, ride their bike and walk their dogs along this stretch of Rte120, often during peak commute times. The school bus has many stops along the road as the surrounding houses and neighborhoods have become popular for young families. I frequently see children and/or parents standing precariously on the side of the road waiting for pick up and drop off. During winter, the snow banks allow even less space for individuals to be far enough away from moving vehicles. Generally, motor vehicles disregard the speed limit on Meriden Road and too many times I’ve witnessed an oncoming car have a close encounter with a biker, walker or runner. A sidewalk will increase the safety of youth and families living along this section of road as well as increase foot traffic to the Lebanon Green and local businesses. Those who commute on this particular stretch will be more comfortable with pedestrians on the side at a safer distance.

I believe this is so important to allow the many residents and families a safe way to be able to walk from their homes for exercise, to work or school. Please put this in for benefit of our community.
