I made this letter/petition because I saw the horrible misogyny, lesbophobia, and classism coming from other gay men. Men whose rights I supported along with mine. I no longer understand the politics of the LGBT. Women and gay men had a common enemy in the Christian Right, but gay men got theirs and left women stranded. I believe homosexual liberation is for both sexes, not just for gay men. Lesbians’ rights are part of that liberation. LGBT no longer represents my politics, and I’m sure others agree. I know that we are more than 72 gay celebrities.

Lesbians have stood alongside and supported us gay men through harrowing times. They deserve our full support. Same-sex attraction is real and good. Sex based oppression is real and we will never hope to conquer it if we cannot speak about it.

The fact that so many women are too frightened to sign this in their own name (me included) speaks volumes as to how toxic this issue is. Misogynist gay men like Anthony shouldn't get a free pass because they're gay.

It saddens me deeply that trans activism has forced the so called debate to this place, but here we are. Women and especially lesbian women have historically been among the greatest supporters of trans people, and now the LGBT community is irreparably wedged and women are forced to defend rights that took decades of struggle to achieve. I stand with my gender critical and lesbian sisters

As a vulnerable class of people I find the attempts to make women coddle and surrender their safe spaces to obscene. I support women. What are women? Adult human females.

Admittedly I don’t know a lot about this subject but I believe unless there is a commitment to change gender physically (than merely identifying as the opposite of the persons biological sex at birth)they should be excluded from entering toilets, changing facilities etc of the gender that they identify with.

This is harming the public perception of both the left and trans people and doing exactly the opposite of what it claims.
Trans people deserve the same protections as any other minority group, and they can have them without everyone having to pretend they don’t believe in science. They aren’t children and don’t need to be lied to.
