We need to protect women's spaces and sex based rights. Woman = adult human female.

Transwoman. Standing with members.of my own sex in support of the other sex.

I'm a PhD biologist and I am appalled by how trans people are distorting reality.

Sex is a biological classification and needs to remain as such for many reasons. I’m all for supporting trans rights but not at the expense of women or science.

When trans rights are equal then all is well and good. When they begin to erode the rights of women or are used at the expense of women, whatever their sexuality, that is a step too far. To bring the matter closer to home my wife, daughter, mother and friends could all be negatively affected by this change in law.

Happy to support the right of women to define themselves and protect their spaces.

It's unreal that this all needs to be said.

All for trans spaces and protections where necessary, but women and girls' spaces are non-negotiable for brain-meltingly obvious reasons. Frankly I can't believe I'm having to sign this.

Men cannot transmogrify into women.

I was 16 when the Tory govt introduced the terrible Clause 28, age of consent was unequal for males attracted to other men, & as a teen HIV/AIDS led to lesbians giving us their blood (we are still unable to donate if we have had sex with other men). Women should not pay the price for predominantly male violence. We remember what our sisters have done. Proud to stand with my sisters, as they have done with us!

Stop the erasure of women. You don’t obtain your rights by taking rights from women.

Gender does not and should not 'trump' sex. Women have had (and still have) to fight for their rights, and these must be upheld at all costs. The rights of individuals with a genuine transgender identity/gender dysphoria must also be protected, but this is a separate issue to the rights of women, and must be treated as such. 'Self-ID' has already been shown to be grossly open to abuse, and the misogynist language and threats of sexual and physical assault upon women who 'dare' to question trans ideology, is abhorrent and has no place in society. TRAs who refuse to debate openly, and prefer to use social media as a means of threatening, defaming, and otherwise abusing women (particularly women in the public eye) should be called out, and prosecuted for their incitement to violence. Their use of sexist stereotypes and homophobic behaviour must also be questioned. Equality must not come at the cost of the erasure of women by 'self-IDing' misogynists, and society must not allow this to happen.

Something needs to be done to prevent ideology overriding biological reality. For all our sakes.

Women and girls are not obliged to forfeit their seat at the table just to affirm a male’s psychosexual wish to be the opposite sex. They have the right to criticize gender ideology without judgment, permission, or harassment. Male silence on gender ideology oppression=complicity. I will not be complicit.
