বিশ্বের সাথে তাল মিলাতে হলে প্রযুক্তি নির্ভরশীলতার বিকল্প নাই। প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার স্বচ্ছতা ও দ্রুততার মাধ্যমে জনগনের দোর গোড়ায় সেবা প্রদান নিশ্চিত করে। আর তা বাস্তবায়ন করতে হলে আইসিটি কর্মকর্তাদের ক্ষমতায়ন ও মানোন্নয়ন অপরিহার্য যা আইসিটি ক্যাডার বাস্তবায়নের বিকল্প নাই বলে আমি মনে করি।

ICT is the single largest domain in terms of number of uni grads passing out in Bangladesh every year. Its unbelievable that they do not have any dignified position to start with a government job in Babgladesh. ICT Cadre is the only answer to this question. The way an upazila needs a doctor, similarly every upazila needs an ICT Officer now. Starting from upazila upto the ministry, there are more than a thousand posts under revenue budget. Without incurring any additional expenditure, the government can readily bring these posts under ICT cadre and ensure the career path of the personnel. This will undoubtedly attract the best of the best IT talents into the public sector. Doesn't the government need this for the realization of Vision 2021?

যোগ্যতার ভিত্তিতে আইসিটি বিষয়ক দক্ষ কর্মী নিয়োগ এখন শুধু সময়ের দাবি। সরকারী উদ্যোগে সফটওয়্যার ফার্ম গড়ে তুলে সেখানে দক্ষ সফটওয়্যার প্রকৌশলী নিয়োগ করে দেশের প্রয়োজনীয় সমস্ত সফটওয়্যার আমরা নিজেরাই তৈরী করতে পারবো বলে আমি মনে করি।
