I am totally against this fee raise!
I want to see from the College of ECE'S a yearly accounting of their costs and how are fees are used! This fee increase is way to high in proportion of our pay!

The suggested rise in the registration fee is illogical to individuals who are both underpaid and underrepresented. If the goal is to reduce enrollment because early childhood educators cannot afford the registration fee, then by all means, continue pushing for the increase. We support the mission to safeguard children in the childcare industry. However, proceeding with a wage hike will only discourage early childhood educators from enrolling. It is disheartening that many are already leaving the childcare profession due to financial constraints. What is even more distressing is that those who are committed to remaining in the sector may soon find it unaffordable to be part of the College of Early Childhood Educators as well. I urge the College of Early Childhood Educators to reconsider the enrollment fee increase. Such a decision may drive away the remaining early childhood educators in the sector.

The fees is increasing yet we are not treated with respect as ECES, all the regular staff get treated the exact same with very similar tasks

This cannot happen. The prices cannot be higher if our wages are caped and unchanging. The cost of our living cannot keep rising and gouging continue. Please stop the price increase.

The moral of the ECEs nowadays are so low. Increase is so wrong timing. Overwork and underpaid, that is the definition of this industry, so sad.

I was already horrified at how little ECE’s make when they put in so much work (just as much as teachers most times) and are such an important part of supporting the education system. Not to mention how essential they are for providing competent care and education for disabled children. Either make the fee half of the teacher’s fee since they make half the pay, or give them a massive pay bump, end of story.

Generally when one pays for something, they get something in return. Whether it be a service, an item or peace of mind (as in insurance). My question to the College is what do we get for our payment every year? What is in it for us as a profession? I didn't see the value when it was $160 a year, so I certainly don't see it at $175. What am I paying for exactly?

Lowest paid workers and all ready have to do so much work for the CPL on our own time and also money again, just to be able to work, but hey, let's make it even harder on the ones who have to be registered, while only making our field worse, not better as it was supposed to do. Way more ECES have left the field due to the CECE! It seems this was a horrible decision to create it and should be demolished before the field is completely destroyed! Shameful!!!
