This increase in fees is ridiculous. Many RECE’s make minimum wage and you expect them to pay $175/ year? Most employers do not pay the fee so it is out of our pockets. The requirements of the CPL along with the higher fees that are completely unjustifiable are causing RECEs to find work outside of our field. We are overworked, overwhelmed and underpaid. Time to give us a break! Pay for your office in the most expensive part of Toronto some other way.

These fee increases are ridiculous. It's hard enough to retain qualified staff in this field. This combined with the outlandish CPL requirements and lower than snot wages are driving people out of this field!

Fees should not increase to accommodate a building in the most expensive part of Toronto, where membership has increased payments should lower. The College of ECE serves the public more than it's members so perhaps they should pay to utilize the service! Many RECEs cannot afford to live. This insanity needs to stop!

The fees should not be increasing when not all ECE’s are making the same wages. Wages are too low to have fees this high.

Our fee may be the lowest but our income is abysmal! Almost no pay increase yet a 9.4% fee increase??? OCTs pay $200 annually with a far higher income. How can you justify this to your members. Shame on you. Tip #1 to reduce costs: MOVE! Why are you renting space on University Avenue? Is there a higher real estate cost anywhere in Toronto? Ontario? Canada? Consider your members and take back this increase. Cut your costs - don't increase ours.

Continues to be hard to accept when I hear about other licensed trades that have such LOW membership fees and how OCT fees are only $25 more than us now and they are not expected to complete CPL requirements and also get paid more than double

I would like you to reconsider the wage increase and eliminate the need for the CPL program. Both are a burden.
