ECE professionals should not be expected to pay close to what OCT staff pay when we make three times less income! Also…..no one recognizes us any more than they did before having a college to adhere to.

Raise our wages first!! Low pay and we have to pay to register. Don't be surprised if finding a good R.E.C.E, will be hard to find. This is too much. We want to teach but not be broke doing it.

This is not right especially since we are expected to do CPL as well

What does the college do for us to be charging so much!

As a very poorly paid “professional”, I’m not sure why we are paying almost the same yearly fee as our OCT partners that make double what we make. They also are not required to do anything like our CPL! This is outrageous !!

It's too much our low wages and we get nothing and my mother in law works for ONA and says she gets something each year. We should get some swag for paying these fees and to be appreciated.

During a time that everyone is shouting from the rooftops about childcare, importance of eces, how underpaid eces are it is appalling that the college chooses to increase the fees. I would really love to know where all our money is going and how it benefits eces in any way. I went to school for this . I spent 2 years as a struggling student, buying over priced text books, barely scraping by to finish this course and get to do (what I thought was) my dream job. I HAVE MY ECE but we all have to pay to use the title? Fine we all dealt with it and now you want more? All I get from it is having to remember to fill out my renewal every year, attesting to completing my CPL assignment for that year, forking over $160 (now $175) and then getting and email with our membership renewal confirmation and a bunch of emails sitting in my inbox. Thaaaaaaanks so much. You want more? Well we want more out of our 150..then 160..now 175 annual fee to be able to utilize our education. Show us what $15 extra each per year gets us.

This increase is too much and coming at a time where it isn't something many can manage. Things are so unaffordable right now and to pay so much just to keep our registration seems unfair. There has to be another way to cut costs somewhere to keep the registration fees where they are. When many can't even afford to eat it just seems like another roadblock to afford to live.

Too much for not even knowing what exactly all this money goes towards.

The increase is not fair

When you can show me exactly where my money is going and give a better explanation as to why you need an increase I will pay extra.

When you compare the cost for the CECE to the professional membership that teachers, nurses and other professionals pay, this is so disproportionate to what an RECE makes. There is no reasonable justification for this increase.

No increase, enough is enough

It’s unfair for us! We got low salary, and we had to pay a lot things as well.

Why do this to people who are struggling to make ends meet.. It's hurtful and mean

Growth in membership means bigger revenue, which should be reflected in lower membership fees not higher. This is almost 10% increase, which is absolutely not acceptable considering low wages of ECEs and such a difficulty in recruiting and maintaining staff. I am very disappointed in the College and lack of accountability.
